The Third Mobility / Germany / Hauptschule Bremervörde

One helps the other without any extra labour.

Here we are! The third mobility is over and we have had a lot of work to do. Great - yes it was a great week. I will write down a small summary, so that everybody can enjoy it.
On Monday we collected Ruth from the airport in Bremen. During my lessons a text message from Sari reached me: .... We are on the way to Bremen. But that was false. Sari, Marja and Jenni took a wrong train - so they didn't reach Bremervörde at lunchtime - they travelled some hours more, to reach Bremervörde finally.
We had a walk through the towncentre and then a dinner at Waldschänke - a restaurant next to our school.

On Tuesday - we started at about 9.00 h with a guiding tour at school. At 10.00 h our assebly began - and we all were really nerveous, because 330 pupils were there, too. (teachers as well)
After the assebly we offered to join our lessons - in subjects such as: musik, english and religion.
The lunchbreak took place in our 'Café Pause` and Dörte with her pupils had prepared Wiener Schnitzel for all of us.
Afterward we wanted to visit a lake - the Oereler See, but it rained so much, that we changed the programm. I called my friend Markus, and we made a guiding tour at "Umweltpyramide Bremervörde" - I recommend the photos, because they all tell you more than words.

Sari, Jenni, Marja and Ruth also went shopping on their on during their individual breaks and they found many nice things at the "1€ shop"

In the evening we had a barbeque party at Jürgen's house.

On Wednesday, we met at school again and worked very busy on the Comenius Planning. We compared the former application form, with those two former partners from Sweden and read it very carefully and marked all former tasks
from the swedish partners, we are able to work at.
We discussed a lot of things and wrote them down.
After our lunchbreak we went to Oerel and recorded a video guiding around the collapsing lake. This guiding tour with "finnish reading german" information
will be posted at youtube. You will find a link for it soon.

Wednesday afternoon, we visited a beautiful town, which is called Stade. Afterwards we had a look at "Altes Land" where thousands of apple trees and cherry trees did their job.
On Thursday, we met again at school, in order to work on our first report.
Sari and Marja went to a place, which is called "Café Dunkel" a restaurant in which you are absolutely not able to see anything. The waitress guides you to your place and offers you some softdrinks. She (a blind person) tells about herself and how it feels to be blind - during the darkness.
Jenni and Ruth visited a primary school at Hesedorf / a village next to Bremervörde.
After a short break we met each other at Ruth's hotel. There we rented some bicyles, because 'we wanted' to do a bicycle tour (not a race) with almost all stuff from Hauptschule Bremervörde.
At last the bicycle tour got longer than expected, because one teacher missed the road, we all should have taken (a kind of shortcut) Being aware that the trip gets longer than expected, we drove a little bit faster and ..... nearly lost some people. / Sorry for that once more!
At 18.00 h we all had a dinner at "Tivolis" Restaurant in Bremervörde - all having esparagus with Wienerschnitzel and Schinken, Sauce Hollandaise and potato creations.
Back home - the luggage had to be packed up, because everybody had to be carried to Bremen once again. Early in the morning we got up and drove to Bremen Central Station - for the Finns and to Bremen Airport for Ruth.
So - enjoy the photos - Jürgen.
