Brief an Ruth und Sari

Here are our latest working ideas at school:

We started to learn two songs about climate and earth pollution, but only in order to find something to start with - as music is concerned.

The pupils wrote a kind of summery about what they noticed in changes from last year onward. (All my travelling and talking about Comenius)

They wrote diarypages to introduce themselves to other pupils from abroad.

They wrote an invitation for our specific Comenius Starting Party, which shall officially take place at the 28.th of october.

We often talk about our social climate and I try to find new experiences in learning for them, so they get very much responsibility for their own work and their own social behaviour. (Working with partners, working at a self determined goal, working somewhere else in the building without the teacher, and so on....)

Everytime we work on something, that might have an project aspect, we draw a big puzzle piece on the wall and we fill this piece with some graffity words.

Yesterday I told them to write letters to you or to Sari. There were two big puzzlepieces on the blackboard with your schools names and your personal names. They should try to write what they would like to ask both of you, Ruth and Sari.

So in some way I think the normal stuff I have to teach them fits very well to any aspect of our Comenius project.
